Do You Have back pain?

Think of your spine as a powerful strong spring. The spring gets its function from the space of its coil. Hence, the further the space in between each coils, the more ‘bounce’ a spring has.

Just like a spring, your spine’s discs are responsible for the ‘bounce’ your spine has, enabling your body to move smoothly. Your spine’s discs are made out of jelly-like material called nucleus pulposus and annulus fibrosus. These get nutrition from the vertebral bodies above and below it.

During spinal movement, the vertebral endplates act like pumps delivering nutrients to the disc.

When the disc’s fluid decreases, the distance of the vertebrae decreases as well, making the spine lose its stability. With a decrease in spinal stability, your nerves will get pinched, causing you back pain.

But gravity can help!

We all know how good it feels to stretch the body, and to let gravity help. In fact, this is an ancient and natural way to relieve back pain. But hanging like in the picture might not give the effect you think it would.

The muscles around the spine tense up and so "pull" is reduced and so is "decompression". Hanging upside down, or at a steep angle also makes the core muscles tense. In addition, most people find it unpleasant, hence the time that you spend decompressing the body is short and of little effectiveness.

MASTERCARE: effective decompression for back and neck without discomfort

MASTERCARE is a Swedish concept in which natural decompression is combined with the Nordic thinking of safety and effectiveness.

MASTERCARE is no ordinary traction table: Thanks to a unique, moving backrest, optimal decompression is achieved at a very low angle, about 15 degrees!

The low angle makes it easy to relax with no "holding back" by the body, so the result is a more effective decompression. Effective decompression in a comfortable position means that you can use your MASTERCARE more often and longer, and this in turn makes for even better results.

Also unique about MASTERCARE is that the backrest locks at an angle, i.e. there is no risk of tipping over backwards. This makes the user feel safe, and that is crucial when the objective is to get the core muscles in the back to relax.

Decompression and relaxation
The unique features of MASTERCARE provide an important "bonus effect": the moving backrest and the locking function makes it possible to do stretch movements while in a decompressed position. The stretch movements were developed by Swedish medical doctors and physiotherapists, to deal with pain in all parts of the back.

The stretch movements also create a pumping effect in the joints. Liquid and nutrition is pumped in, and "garbage" is removed. According to both doctors and physiotherapists, this is very important.

In the two videos below, experts with long experience of MASTERCARE, explain the effect.

Physiotherapist Jeanette Soprani and medical doctor Claes Lenngerd implemented MASTERCARE at virtually all workplaces of the municipality of Trollhättan, Sweden

Physiotherapist Karin Timmermanns has used MASTERCARE exclusively, in more than 35.000 treatments over 12 years.

How can MASTERCARE help?

It has been scientifically documented that MASTERCARE can reduce back- and neck pain, for example at Volvo Aero Corp., by Volvo's own medical team.

The results were extraordinary to say the least: a 50% reduction in pain, and 7,9 fewer sick days on average per person. Why was this achieved?

Relaxed muscles

When you decompress on MASTERCARE, the muscles around the spine can relax and it is easier for them to get rid of "garbage" that cause muscle pain.

Improved function of the joints

MASTERCARE extends the joints in the neck, back, hips and knees, and thereby helps counter the bad effects of prolonged sitting or standing at work.

Reduced pressure on the nerves

When decompressing the back on MASTERCARE, pressure on nerves that may be "pinched" is reduced, and thereby the pain.

Helps intervertebral discs to receive liquid and nutrition

Decompressing on MASTERCARE helps intervertebral discs get the nutrition and liquid needed for a good and pain-free function.

The benefits of MASTERCARE are not limited to back and neck, as reclining on the MASTERCARE also helps circulation in head, legs, and feet.

Many users also speak of how alert and focused they feel after a few minutes on MASTERCARE. Perhaps this is not surprising as the brain is the organ that consumes the most oxygen, and when reclining on the MASTERCARE it is easier for the heart to pump oxygen-rich blood to the brain.
